In Sarasota, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across Florida, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. Loyalty programs are common and worth joining if you are a regular.

Sarasota is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Sarasota follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Friendly employees, mediocre food. It was quite flavorless actually. I got a breakfast sandwich and this didnβt taste like sourdough or even fresh bread. Coffee was okay. Cute piece of real estate but didnβt smell the greatest. Iβd love to give this a higher mark because of the friendly employees but in good conscience- I just cant.

Small diner at a beachside. Plenty of other stores to shop around and browse while you wait your turn in line. Service was good nothing bad to note. Wait was 15 to 20 minutes on a Sunday morning for two. Parties of 4 or more usually took 30+ minutes ot get sat. I got the biscuits and Gravy and the corned beef hash. Gravy was delicious but the biscuits dry as a bone. Corned beef hash was filled with delicious flavor and didn't need a single thing added. The pancakes were delicious although they look flat. Overall great experience and good pricing for the food.

We decided to try the Blue Dolphin Cafe on a recent trip to St. Armand's after reading the reviews. First, let me say that the food was really good. They source their eggs locally, and they were delicious. The pancakes also have a great flavor. Service was fast. I have to say, however, that I would not return. The place did not feel welcoming. We were greeted, but it was extremely curt and 'formal,' and it continued that way throughout our meal. No smiles or friendly banter at all. It felt awkward.

First impression when we walked in on Tuesday morning at 10:40amβ¦ smells a bit like a public restroom at the beach. Wet, musty and dirty. Floors were visibly dirty, lots of dust hanging on the old tv stand right above our table/food. Staff was not friendly. Borderline rude. A table was pointed out for us to talk (2 of us) and a service said βwhat do you want to drinkβ. Not, hi welcome in, thanks for coming, a smile, nothing. We decided to share the Blue Dolphin Special. Half way because we just wanted to leave but didnβt wanna be rude. The motto on the menus reads βWe are friendly, courteous people, serving fresh, quality food in a clean environment!β Food was good. Hard to get a βwowβ from breakfast but it was cooked perfectly and tasted good. Nothing special. We wonβt be back.

DANG! I think this may have been the best breakfast spot I've been to on vacation. Seriously. It was very clean. Not sticky and worn out like a lot of small cafes in beach towns. The service was incredible. So friendly and fast! The menu had both breakfast and lunch all day. They also had mimosas! We, of course, had the mimosas but we also had pancakes and French toast, with a side of eggs and bacon. Everything was delicious! Reasonable prices too. If i lived in the area, I would be here nearly every day for sure. Highly recommend.
